Eva's Yellow Roses

2010-12-07

This is one of my favorite photos from the premiere event last Thursday evening.  Eva Fahidi is such an outspoken survivor of Auschwitz and can express herself so well in multiple languages about what it has been like to lose over 50 members of her family more than 66 years ago.  Her stories about her Mother liking Yellow Roses and what it meant to her to have German school children plant yellow roses in Auschwitz in remembrance to her Mother is always one of my favorite stories and I was honored to have one of my children hand her a bouquet of Yellow Roses on stage. If you want to see more about her survival in Auschwitz, please register and watch the episode for free.
