In the Press

The following article appeared in the Herald-Independent newspaper after the event at the Glacial-Drumlin Middle School in Cottage Grove, WI.  Former UW Badger All-American and Outland Trophy winner Gabe Carimi gave the introductory speech and met the three Auschwitz survivors, Eva Fahidi, Erzsi Szemes and Magda Brown.  It was an afternoon that many will never forget. 

This article appeared in the Jewish Press following the event at the Shaaray Tefila Temple in Manhattan.  The event was 'standing room only' and featured a question and answer segment with the three Auschwitz survivors, Eva Fahidi, Erzsi Szemes and Magda Brown after the screening of "The Selection".  

This article appeared in the Skokie Review following the event at the Illinois Holocaust Museum.  One of the highlights of the event was the donation by Erzsebet Szemes.  Erzsi donated her number that she was given when she arrived to Auschwitz in the Summer of 1944.  Accepting the donation was her friend and fellow Auschwitz survivor, Magda Brown.  The two women met in the Allendorf labor camp in Nazi Germany after being selected to leave Auschwitz along with 1,000 Hungarian women.
